Line Patrol AI (“we,” “us”) runs LinePatrol, an AI phone receptionist for trades businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us. It covers linepatrolai.com and the LinePatrol service.
Who this policy covers
- Our clients: the businesses that use LinePatrol, and their owners and staff.
- Callers: people who call a business that uses LinePatrol. When you call one of our clients, we handle your information on that business’s behalf.
- Website visitors: anyone who visits linepatrolai.com.
What we collect
Business contact information
Names, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, and business addresses. We also collect the details you give us to set up your line, such as your hours, service area, services, prices, and the calendar we book appointments on.
Calls we handle for client businesses
When LinePatrol answers a call for a client, we record the call and make a written transcript. We also keep the details the caller shares, such as their name, phone number, service address, email address, and a description of the problem, plus any appointment that gets booked.
Alert phone numbers
If you sign up for text alerts, we collect your name, business name, and mobile number, along with a record of when you agreed to receive texts.
Website information
If you fill out a form on our site, we receive what you enter. Our site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type.
How we use it
- To answer calls and book appointments for our client businesses.
- To send client businesses call details, summaries, and alerts by email or text message.
- To send callers appointment reminders and, if the business asks us to, a request to review that business.
- To set up, run, and support LinePatrol, including reviewing calls to fix problems and improve how the receptionist works for each business.
- To bill our clients and keep business records.
- To answer your questions and requests.
- To follow the law.
How we share it
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- With the business you called. Call recordings, transcripts, and caller details go to the client business the call was for.
- With service providers that help us run LinePatrol, such as companies that provide our phone and voice technology, AI processing, hosting and databases, email and text message delivery, and calendar access. We share information with them only so they can provide those services to us.
- When the law requires it, or when needed to protect someone’s rights or safety.
- If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner, who must handle it under this policy.
Links to other websites, such as our scheduling page, are covered by those websites’ own privacy policies.
Text messages (SMS)
If you sign up for Line Patrol AI Urgent Call Alerts, we use your mobile number to text you about urgent calls your business’s LinePatrol line receives. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See our Terms for the full program details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
- Business account information: for as long as you’re a client, and afterward for as long as we need it for billing, tax, and legal records.
- Call recordings, transcripts, and caller details: for as long as the client business uses LinePatrol. When a client cancels, or asks us to delete its call data, we delete it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Text alert sign-ups: for as long as you receive alerts. After you opt out, we keep a record of when you signed up and when you opted out for four years, so we can show you agreed to receive texts and that we stopped when you asked.
Your choices
- Clients and alert recipients: email us to see, correct, or delete your information. Reply STOP to any text alert to stop receiving them.
- Callers: if you called a business that uses LinePatrol and want your information corrected or deleted, contact that business, or email us and we’ll work with the business to handle your request. Every reminder or review email we send includes a link to unsubscribe.
Children
LinePatrol is a service for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
